The Daily Forest Report April 1, 2015 Playfulness

by nielskunze on April 1, 2015

Yesterday I published a full article on my Bigsquatch encounters from last spring. This is in anticipation of all the wonderful things to come.

Anticipation

Anticipation

Within a month, this dry riverbed will be active with spring overflow. With the level of disclosure promised, the next few months could be a very emotional time! (water = emotion)

Sitka at the Duck Pond

Last week, there was a pair of Canada Geese in this very spot… and they wouldn’t be chased away by the dogs.

On this day, we were greeted by a pair of ducks instead. They didn’t stick around for the photo-op however. Duck is our emotional guardian and protector. Duck promises to help us navigate through our strongest emotional currents– especially upon Dutch Creek in the spring!

Technicolor Sky

Technicolor Sky

I’m still surprised by the newness of the technicolor sky that’s been dazzling us since the beginning of this calendar year. What’s even more surprising is that no one else seems to be mentioning it! It seems pretty obvious and undeniable to me!

Purple Clouds

Oh well, dazzling sky or not, I took this opportunity to tidy up the Forest a bit.

Ammo

Ammo

Someone had a good time shooting up the place last fall. These shell casings are bad juju or feng shui, so I decided to clean them up… especially since this is right in the area where I encountered Bigsquatch last year. It’s my gesture toward energy cleanliness in order to deepen my rapport with the Sasquatch People.

And now that that’s taken care of, there’s a happy, playful energy out in the woods.

Playfulness

Playfulness

These two eagles, as I’ve been reporting, can be seen frolicking most days. This time they stuck around long enough for me to snap a few pics.

Eagle at Home

Eagle at Home

I’m pretty sure I know where their nesting site is– approximately. They’re most often circling and playing above the northern bank of Dutch Creek, just west of the main hoodoos.

Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle

This time I think they were oblivious to my presence down in the river valley below. They were ducking in and out of the low-lying clouds and riding effortlessly upon the strong westerly winds… as though they hadn’t a care in the world.

I think I like this New World as it unfolds!
