Message To/From the TOURS #12 Another Q & A Session (Team Of United Renegade Sovereigns)

Let’s just dive right in…
Q: Who is Grandfather Mahat?
A: Golly, I wish I knew!
This question, I surmise, comes from the last Message #11 in which Grandfather Mahat offered some dreamtime instruction. For me personally, Grandfather Mahat is really the one who kicked off my writing career about twenty or so years ago. He has been an infrequent visitor in my dreams ever since that initial inspiration.
His words are always easy to remember upon awakening, and I find that there is an incredible “density” to what he imparts. Each sentence may be pondered at length to reveal a tremendous richness of meaning.
In Sanskrit, “mahat” means great, or the totality of material existence… which is a bit odd since I’ve only ever known him in the dreamtime… but he is pretty great and definitely cool.
He appears to me as an old man with long, mostly grey hair. He likes to laugh a lot and seems to have some association with don Genero from the Castaneda books– but he is not don Juan Matus (I’ve never dreamed of don Juan).
Q: My question has two parts to it. First, what do you think about sending love/light to troubled spots and people around the world in order to affect change? And why don’t you promote group meditations like the recent one arranged by Cobra for the opening of the Isis portal? (It didn’t have enough participants to be fully successful, but your blog alone receives enough visitors that you could’ve made all the difference!)
A: I have to be careful with my answer here; I know there’s quite a number of people taking offense and falling into denial with all of the recent articles and lectures pointing out the glaring shortcomings of the New Age movement/philosophy. And I’ve touched on this very topic in the past, but additional clarity is merited.
Another common New Age platitude says “Love is the answer to every problem.” True. I actually believe that. The problem however lies in how “love” is enacted or expressed. In order for love to express its true compassion and creativity, it must be engaged at a personal, experiential level. Sitting in a cave and pretending to send love to people unbeknownst to them is hardly beneficial and potentially harmful.
Suppose we decide to send love/light to someone we’re pretty sure is the embodiment of evil because we would like to affect a change within them. How is this not an infringement on their free will? “Oh, but it’s for their own good as well as for the greater good of all,” you insist. And is that not exactly what evil itself says to justify its own actions? Evil is often perpetrated in the name of the “greater good.”
Furthermore, when you send love/light to such a person, unless you are very specific and firm in your intent, you are essentially sending energy to be used and bent toward the recipient’s own nefarious schemes. “Here, I’m sending this energy which I call love in the hope that it will cause you to change your ways.” Well, hoping is not the same as intending. The recipient would likely answer “I am a devourer of love and light; thank you for feeding me and my intentions”… and then merrily carry on perpetuating their evil.
The very nature of love is allowing. It respects free will. When offered in an ambiguous manner from afar it can hardly be expected to be transformative. Love’s compassion and creativity must be engaged in an intimate and personal manner in order for it to have a transformative effect. It’s kind of like just throwing money at social problems. Such careless non-solutions tend to perpetuate and exacerbate the problem while giving the donor a false sense of absolving themselves of all further responsibility. “It’s not my problem; I’ve done all I could.” Actually all you’ve done is paid to have it cleared off your plate because you don’t care to know how to deal with the problem in an actual effective manner.
And light, as I’ve previously explained, is actually the CAUSE of darkness when viewed dualistically. Now what do I mean by dualistically? A mind which chooses one polarity over the other in such an extreme manner as to suggest that the opposite polarity shouldn’t even exist– for example, light is good; darkness is bad– such a mind acts exactly like the filter in a double-slit experiment. This ain’t woo woo; this is physics! The light passing through such a filter subsequently manifests an interference pattern which, when projected on a screen, results in alternating bands of light and dark. The dark bands are created where the crest of one light wave meets the trough of the other light wave, canceling each other out. Only light is involved, and yet darkness is still the result.
Instead of having polarized minds which declare absolutes, trying to deny the very existence of certain poles, our task is to occupy and embody the sacred neutral perspective which acknowledges both extremes of polarity equally in our relative world of experience, and ultimately seeks the balanced, middle way. I think this is what Buddha might have been getting at with his espousal of the middle way.
Denial and trying to merely wish away the things we find distasteful is a poor strategy in my opinion. Now, sending or projecting a calming energy into an otherwise volatile situation, like trying to prevent a war, for instance, is quite valid. Calmness is much harder to misconstrue. We do have the limited ability to affect changes from afar, but we have to be very clear in our intentions, and we should not hesitate to put conditions upon the energy we send. None of us are currently adept at unconditional love. Think for a moment about a family member, a child or a pet whom you love unconditionally. Allow the true feeling to arise in your heart. You can feel it; it’s real. Now, if you can honestly muster that exact same feeling when you’re attempting to send it to Satan himself, then go for it! But the vast majority of us simply can’t do it. We can’t invoke the same deep unlimited feeling for nasty bastards than we can for our loved ones. No, we still require a more human approach.
And the very safest and most effective method for dealing with perceived evil from afar is to simply send any malicious intent right back to its originator. If there’s someone in political office who’s pissing you right off and you sense that the new legislation they just voted or signed into law has some nefarious intent behind it, then you have every right to stand in your sovereignty and reject that nefarious intent and send it right back to those who would choose to impose it upon you. Let them feel the full effect of their own intentions toward others. It’s only fair, and costs you absolutely nothing energetically or morally. Let the universe take responsibility; grant the world its full ability to respond in kind.
I hope now that I’ve made my position clear in this regard. In the dreamtime, we agree on this. These are precisely the discussions we’re having as we try to resolve all lingering conflict in our chaotic world.
Now, on to Cobra… oh dear Cobra! You had to bring up Cobra!
Yes, I’ve been following Cobra for quite some time now at his website, Portal 2012. On the positive side of things, I must say that he has been extremely consistent. There have also been some things that he’s published on his site which I take issue with, but that’s a discussion for another day, and doesn’t serve to answer the question posed here. Why didn’t I promote the mass meditation for the opening of the Isis portal?
What is a portal in general? What specifically is an Isis portal? Why do we want it open? Why was it closed? Who closed it? How does the specific meditation as given serve to open the portal? What are the principles and mechanisms involved? What does each step of the meditation facilitate? Why does the number of participants matter?
Perhaps you can answer some of these questions satisfactorily for yourself. Right now, I can’t. I have way too many questions to just decide I’m going to shut up and do as I’m told without having the additional deeper knowledge of what the hell I’m doing. I’m supposed to trust that in this instance that giving my power over to this particular cause is a good idea.
There’s a way of accomplishing common goals in a group setting which empowers all of the individuals involved because it deepens their understanding in an experiential way. And then there’s Cobra’s method in this instance which involved significant time pressure, announcing the meditation just a couple of days beforehand without much in terms of explanations. (See my questions above.) Whenever someone says something like “Hurry! We’ve got to get as many people as possible to do this thing exactly as it’s been outlined on a specific date at a particular time… or else,” I generally very calmly say “Um, no. Count me out.”
After spending lifetimes within a matrix of deception, coloured by obfuscations, all couched in a cosmic lie, forgive me, but I’m a bit skeptical… and Cobra has to understand that. He shouldn’t even be asking for us to blindly follow. I’m pretty sure that’s what we’re trying to put an end to. This is supposed to be about making fully informed conscious decisions for a better world that we can clearly discern as it comes into being. It’s not about blind trust in our eventual magical deliverance at the hands (or hooves) of flying unicorns! (Or portals named Isis.)
Give me empowering information that I’ll be eager to try out for myself, and I’m fully on board. Anything less and I’m very skeptical.
Now having said that, I still like Cobra, and I appreciate much of what he’s doing, and I sincerely hope that he continues. I, for my part, will continue to read all of his updates and will even participate in whatever ways make good sense to me.
If anyone is just itching for a mass meditation to get involved in, or just looking for an opportunity to return-to-sender some nefarious intent, tomorrow– May 1st– is Beltane. Historically, this is a day when the dark sorcerers inject maximum chaos and destructive intent into the burgeoning lifeforce of spring.
We can thwart their efforts by proactively supporting the Earth and her organic expression, or alternatively just by turning any negative intents back upon their originators. This can be most effectively done through the natural ley lines of the Earth. It’s really nothing more than praying/meditating for Gaia’s full emancipation and restoration. Do so in any manner that holds significance and meaning for you.
