The Daily Forest Report April 29, 2014 Whether Circle or Spiral, “Soon” is Always Just Around the Corner
by nielskunze on April 29, 2014
Sitka seems to understand the cyclical aspect of Nature. Nearly everything in the natural world tends to go around in seeming circles.
This deer leg, Sitka’s favourite, has been schlepped around the full circuit of our daily walks fully three times already! Every day she gets back to it and carries it a little further along the path. She loves the fact that it’s there always waiting for her to resume their relationship… even when she’s finding suitable replacements on a nearly daily basis!
She was particularly pleased with finding this one! I think she’s smiling.
And then scenes like this, also arranged by Sitka, make me think of deer getting their legs blown off, leaving the poor creatures as something resembling tragically land-locked seals rolling about nearly helplessly on the Forest floor. That is… until Deer addresses the seriousness of all of our collective floundering…
“It is my task to gently lead you into New Adventure… pristine futures, but wishing for that which is ‘soon’ to come is too often a tiresome futility.”
This conversation with Deer had made me realize that I too have been subtly stoking the fires of imminent change which never seems to materialize… for the world at large. These posts are always slightly turned toward the future, even though I myself am fully indulging in the appreciation of Now. I adore my life!
I spend a great deal of time reading comments on various websites and blogs to get an overview of the mood of the larger lightworker community, though. Frustration seems to prevail most often. So many are anxious to escape this ‘endless’ transformation which never seems to fully materialize. This is precisely what Deer wished to discuss.
“There is nothing wrong with holding a positive vision for the future… even if it is merely a wish. But if the wish is to become reality, there is more to it than that. Holding the wish of a longed-for future quite often declares a contentment to merely keep on wishing. You envision that future for yourself and it kindles happiness within you. Over time this begins to alternate with feelings of frustration that the wish never seems to actually come true. But, in truth, you are receiving exactly what you wish! You are freely receiving the continued opportunity to feel the happiness– in the Now moment– while you are wishing, as well as freely receiving the opportunity to continue– in the Now moment– your feelings of frustrations.
“All of the seeds for the future are present right now. Whatever seeds you nurture now sprout and grow to become the garden of your personal future. Therefore, whatever wish for the future you choose to entertain must be initiated by finding and nurturing the seeds of that future in the moment that exists right now. Your future wish can only be rooted in now– this moment which exists– if it is ever to be realized.
“Your wish for escape in the very near future necessarily depends on finding and opening the doors and windows– the opportunities and happy indulgences– hidden in the now. If all you are choosing to look at are the seeds of hating what is, those are the seeds you are choosing to nurture. Look elsewhere to connect the future you desire to its hidden reality in this very moment.”
I know, strange message coming from a legless deer… but he’s unable to run heedlessly– endlessly– into tomorrow.
