The Daily Forest Report March 4, 2014 Like a Snapshot of a Snow Globe
by nielskunze on March 4, 2014
While we were thrown into the deepfreeze again, it seemed as though everything was stuck on ‘pause.’ All of Nature was saying “Hold up just a minute.” As if we had a choice!
The bitter biting cold finally broke last night. Yay! Now it promises to get very sloppy. March is a month that tends to flip-flop from winter to spring to winter and back to spring again… sometimes all in the matter of a day or two! No worries. I’ve got my boots and an extra change of clothes in my pack– always.
When the snow piles up to a foot or more, I really envy Rabbit’s ability to just effortlessly skim across the surface… creating surreal moonscapes.
Legend has it that Rabbit lives on the moon. He is the animal representative of the demiurge (false god). Normally I would refer to Rabbit in the feminine– due to her legendary fertility– but this association with the demiurge forces me into a masculine depiction. The demiurge seems overtly male to me.
Rabbit has seen the writing on the wall– or in the snow, if you will. The long reign of the false gods is coming to naught. More and more of humanity are coming out of their long bewilderment and are beginning to see through some very obvious and basic deceptions.
The month of March however will not likely be a time of overt action. It will be a time of marshalling our collective resolve. We have a great deal of ‘stuff’ to think about and to address with an eventual plan of action.
“Action will be initiated at the time of the next New Moon (March 30). As April grabs hold with new life bursting on the scene everywhere, a whole New World will finally come into being for all to see with their everyday eyes.
“In the meantime, spend your energy tidying up the old and clearing it away– both internally and externally… less phlegm and less junk. Solid new foundations cannot be properly erected on heaps of rubble. Bury it with care, returning all to the Earth for recycling… the making of brand new forms.
“It is well advised that you each prepare yourselves, for in one month hence we all scurry down the rabbit hole… to Wonderland… where your adventures begin in earnest, Alice.”
