The Free Radical

Standing upon grave moments of discontinuity,
A time of testing our true vulnerabilities,
Asleep in hypnogogic residue and somnambulistic intentions…
Someone peeled back the lens of the sky,
And the stars were so close they touched me!

On the outside, beyond the sensitivity of our skin to feel, it has seemed as though we are in a “pause.” We can sense beyond our familiar sensations that something monumental and shockingly transformative is going on… everywhere… while on the inside we do battle with ourselves as we’ve known ourselves, while clutching to vague dreams of self-preservation… salvation.

I have felt squeezed and exhausted by the jousting of Light and Dark– the definitive battle being waged in my mind. The sky has hung for days like a curtain at the close of the show, stuck halfway between open and closed, as confused actors wonder about the timing for taking their bows.

The lighting has been oddly extreme. The sun is rarely directly seen, but its effects are an undeniable embrace, like winter’s cold hand slapped across the face!

Our friend Inelia Benz, who monitors the Collective, said “Humanity now feels to me exactly as sunshine upon my skin.” We are the same energy! Together, we are glowing like suns! and daughters!

But before we can proceed on our sky-journeys with Earth, our vulnerabilities are tested. Saturday afternoon we heard the hounds of the hunt again. Fear was thrown down at our feet. We could not retreat.

Ellie, the writer of the script, the flying elephant of my soul asked “Will you craft frightening scenarios in your mind– the life-and-death struggles to defend yourself and your dog? Or will you trust in all you’ve learned about your Selves… despite the fog?”

Yea, it is difficult to not let the mind run away with itself. But it is a mind… with fine tread but nearly without traction. And the body houses but one dread– our prolonged inaction…

In the meantime, we are (of) the sun. We shine! Nous sommes du soleil! We love when we play!
