This mullein stalk is like a memory standing in a vast mindscape… although the story is not its own. The lesson which unfolds here is about Mullein’s villainized cousin. Although this is just a specific instance revealed, the wider implications give us much food for thought as we reflect upon where we’ve been and where we’re headed… or perhaps, hearted.

“Your ‘known’ history is a program. Let us examine this idea through the lens of my beleaguered cousin, Tobacco.

“In the collective mind of humanity, Tobacco is the most evil plant on Earth… as though its very creation was a colossal mistake. From where is this idea sourced really?

“Before Tobacco assumed its popular role in modern culture, it grew in a place of deep reverence. The indigenous of North America ubiquitously revered Tobacco as the prized member of their herbal arsenal. It was widely considered to be the most important plant anchoring the centre of indigenous culture. Its reputation has radically changed. How was this brought about?

“Who is the real villain? Is it the plant in its natural state… or the countless chemical adulterations that have been foisted upon it? What is typically sold today as tobacco bears little resemblance to its former self. The plant has been systematically poisoned; its reputation has been poisoned. Why?

“Listen to the indigenous who still hold the sacred knowledge of the past. Tobacco held the sacred link to the Creator Spirit. It held the lines of clear communication between the physical and non-physical realms. Your wise ancestors knew that your communications are often tampered with, influenced and manipulated by forces outside your momentary sphere of awareness. Tobacco was widely accepted as the remedy when clarity was essential. It held the manipulative forces at bay.

“The subsequent chemical poisoning rendered Tobacco impotent in this regard. In its modern expression it no longer serves the interests of clarity. The plant has not fundamentally changed; it has merely been buried beneath a deliberate campaign to vilify and to nullify it.

“Please learn to look past these programs of complex deception. Your entire history suffers under similar delusions.”

I’m pretty sure this isn’t an appeal for more people to take up smoking tobacco. Rather, it’s an appeal to look past the endless cover stories. What is really being hidden beneath the covers?
