The Free Radical

I didn’t post yesterday… with good reason. After my post Tracking the Invisible Bear in which Black Bear cut a very direct path toward his western denning site, I was surprised to learn that the very next day he had backtracked. He laid a new series of footprints right on top of mine, following my path for nearly a kilometre.

I was a bit perplexed. I could discern no reason for Bear to return… except in order to “speak” with me further. All I could pick up on though was this: “Recall the words of the Wily Ol’ Fish.” He’s referring to a DFR from earlier this summer. We would all do well to reread it, but this wasn’t enough to merit a new message. I returned again the next day and was very surprised by who had decided to fill in the rest of the gaps!

As soon as I got to the Mesa, I found again that someone had followed my path directly, laying down a series of footprints within my footprints from the day before. It was Coyote. The Mesa is a wide open bit of terrain; there’s no reason to follow my path… except as a message intended for me– a message we’ll get to in a minute. There’s still another collaborator in this complex missive.

Again, this critter decided to follow my footprints exactly, following in my path for about a kilometre. These prints belong to either Bobcat or Lynx… and my intuition says Bobcat. If you compare the shape of the prints to that of Coyote, you can see that these are much rounder with the toes forming an arc up front, whereas Coyote has a more diamond-shaped foot with two toes out front creating a point. And before we get to the composite message herein contained, I need to tell about a recent Tarot reading I did on the general state of the world.

There were three very significant positions filled by major arcana in the eleven-card spread. In the second position, representing the prevalent energy surrounding our current global circumstances, we find number 13– the Death Card, symbolizing deep and fundamental Transformation. Then, in the seventh position, representing what lies ahead (before Nov. 18th) we have number 15– The Devil, who symbolizes the energy of trickery or deception. And finally, in the eleventh position which holds the longterm outcome (Jan. 2014), we have the Wheel of Fortune Card which symbolizes the repetition of cycles or periodicity. Now let’s put it all together.

Black Bear tells us that something very good and tempting will soon come our way. We will find it to be very desirable, but are cautioned that there may be very significant hidden strings attached. He dares us to go ahead and take the bait but to leave the attached strings behind. He’s telling us to be cheeky in taking back what is rightfully ours.

Coyote represents Trickster energy. He, however, is more closely associated with the wisdom of the Creator than devilish deception. He treads the line between wisdom and folly. He is emphasizing the need to be on the lookout for very subtle trickery… which could very well originate from the “creator” of the False Light Paradigm– the demiurge. Whatever is on offer may appear to be a gift from God, but may turn out to be the exact opposite. Discernment required!

Bobcat usually keeps her silence. She is very discreet about which secrets to keep and which to reveal. This is really my first interaction with her energy. She is very deliberately telling us that secrets having global significance will continue to surface for the remainder of the year and into the next. Not only do we need to pay close attention to what is being revealed, but we are also charged with the mission of discovering the far-ranging implications of such revelations. We will need to think clearly in these matters if we’re to avoid being duped.

Finally, Black Bear reassures us that there will be an emergence in the spring– an opportunity for a real and true fresh start. This should prove to be a most interesting six months!

This is not a message of delay. Nothing is being held up. The Transition is gaining momentum… but we are called upon to be extra vigilant and perfectly clear. We need to know what “sovereignty” actually means… and whether we’re willing to fully embrace it and all of its implications– responsibility and respectful relationship… more to come on those, I’m sure.

I hope all of my readers can appreciate the rarity of having Bear, Bobcat and Coyote all collaborating together to bring us this message. And just as an extra, I think I encountered the tracks of Moose on the Mesa too, but I wasn’t 100% sure.
