The Daily Forest Report October 31, 2013 A New Appreciation for Dandelion

by nielskunze on October 31, 2013

Dandelions are the first to bloom in the spring and the last to bloom in the fall. That alone makes them very valuable… since they’re highly nutritious. In recent weeks, they are the only flowers available for foraging, and some mornings they’re even coated with ice!

According to traditional herbal folklore, whatever plants become abundant in a particular locale, it is their medicinal qualities which are perfectly suited to the needs of the human population of that area. Nature automatically responds to human needs. Well, despite our very best efforts utilizing chemical warfare, Dandelion just seems to crop up more and more. Maybe it’s time we listened!

“At the level of Soul, we are all intimately connected. You are an individualized ensouled being. Among the other creatures and plants it works a bit differently. An individual dandelion does not possess a unique soul, but it does have a soul connection. Our soul connection is with the species collective. Individuals ‘feed’ experiences into the collective soul for purposes of learning, adaption and integration. For most species on Earth, this is the method of their ensoulment.”

As an aside, Dandelion did acknowledge that individual animals may very infrequently possess their own unique soul connection, superseding the species collective. Such individuals are traditionally referred to as Power Animals or Power Totems. When a human interacts with such a being, the level of consciousness within the Power Animal is noticeably heightened.

“For many of our generations now humanity has assailed us with deadly chemical poisons. Our proper response, from the Soul level, has been to adapt to the chemical onslaught and to continue to thrive. We are needed… and humanity will soon realize it.

“Decades of chemical warfare– mainly in the guise of agriculture– has left a ubiquitous stain upon the face of the whole Earth. None can escape its influence. The biosphere has been poisoned. We are a part of the remedy.

“Our adaptations throughout the onslaught has conferred the proper coping mechanisms to express in our DNA. As you happily ingest my flowers, those same coping mechanisms stimulate and activate your own DNA to find a similar response.

“We are to be found everywhere because we are needed everywhere. Please stop your program of eradication. Stop and smell the flowers… and eat them if you dare to live!”

So to be clear… we can eat the dandelions that grow out in the pristine and mostly unchemicalized wilderness knowing that their DNA is fully informed via the collective soul connection to help our own bodies cope with many environmental toxins. So eat up… these little pieces of sunshine for our livers!
