The Daily Forest Report October 28, 2013 YOU Are the Stability You Seek
by nielskunze on October 28, 2013
The sun has been hidden for days. It makes for very introspective times. The fog doubled down… and everything got draped in “mistery.”
There was enough dew to moisten the tongue of this upright Juniper. Shivering, I listened.
“The world you typically gaze upon– let’s call it the ‘civilized world’– is a construction of your egos. Ego is your closest and most familiar mode of consciousness. It is the internal program by which disunity or separation is created.
“The world you have built together over many millennia is exactly as stable as your own egos. Until very recently, that world seemed very stable indeed, even largely immutable at times– stubborn and persistent, despite its often callous and unsustainable nature. A mere hundred years ago, human consciousness seemed very nearly set in stone… as ego became the very basis for the exploration of the wider world.
“Now, very much has changed. Ego has been toppled from its former supremacy. More and more of you are finding that you– essentially– are not your egos. You are withdrawing your energy from ego-constructions– both past and present. Instead you are re-finding (refining) yourselves in the thick fog, bejewelled and radiant, sharing the diaphanous light with each other in syncopated collaboration.
“I ask you, in turbulent times, where does the foundation of stability reside? Was it ever to be found in the constructs and systems which have grown from ego-consciousness? As the Earth rearranges her very life, so much of what you have built must fall into disarray… but I ask again… where does stability reside?
“You will not find it in the outside world; the fog is always too thick. No, you are the stability you seek. It is within you. In times of crisis, do you turn to systems and institutions for real comfort, or do you prefer the comfort of your brethren and sistren? Stability, reliability and strength are human qualities of character; they cannot be successfully institutionalized.
“Your perceptions are being forced back upon yourselves. All the discoveries of a lifetime already reside in you. Just look at yourselves! And wonder in the glory!”
