The Daily Forest Report October 24, 2013 Kinder Tyrannies

And the fog was twice as thick as the day before…!
I should have guessed that there’s much more to the “mistery.” The Fog had plenty more to say on this day– much of it surprising.
“A pendulum swings in the old human mind.” Well, there’s a statement fraught with unsettling implications! “Or perhaps more accurately, the swinging pendulum is the old human mind.
“You are well conditioned to choose either/or among established options. Choices are crafted and served by manipulative intent. They are most often pared down to two polarized extremes– though they may deceptively appear to be more moderate. As choice swings the old human mind further to the extreme, the pendulum gathers momentum to swing back the other way in dissatisfaction with the polarity already tried. Back and forth among the polarities, the infantile mind chooses to be essentially choiceless.
“Look into the forest… what do you see? Or perhaps it is better to ask how well do you see?”
Despite the fog, I could actually see with great depth into the forest!
“You are perceiving in the half-light. My fog smooths out all the shadows, diffuses the bright sunshine, and allows your gaze to penetrate even deeper.”
It’s true! I could easily see further into the forest in this fog than I usually could in bright sunshine. The contrast of sun and shadows normally makes it impossible for my depth perception to make it past the first few rows of trees and their entangled shadows. The half-light afforded by the Fog allowed me to easily see twice the distance into the realms of light and shadow… somewhat counterintuitive, but easily demonstrable.
“The balance point is called the Sacred Neutral Perspective. It stops the incessant swing of the old pendulous mind. Reality is a dialectic– a cosmic conversation derived from the tension existing between infinite pairs of polar opposites. Nothing resolves in the choosing of extremes.
“The Sacred Neutral Perspective acknowledges equally both extremes… and holds them in balance. It is the integration/creation point. Creations wrought in polarity are inherently unstable as they seek to deny or diminish the polarity they oppose.
“As humanity moves now en masse from the entrenched darkness into the light, beware the lure of kinder tyrannies. It almost seems logical to the old human mind to trade a dark enslavement for a lighter one. You can do better! Think for yourselves; develop your own infinite choices… as you choose to integrate/create from a place of balance that sees deeper into the polarities than either side ever can. You are the resolution to a world of conflict… if you can resist the easy ready-made ‘answers.'”
