Even when we’re peering out from the tight confines of our personal lives, there’s something each of us recognizes in the grandiose elegance of the natural systems surrounding us. Often, it lends contrast to the frustrating systems of our human enterprise and sufferance. We are reminded unfailingly of what is truly real.

This is the view from the Hugging Tree– what he gazes upon daily. Perhaps these words are his…

“You are the elite System-Busters of the universe. You have incarnated here en masse at this time to tear down that which can no longer stand.

“System-Busters are not at all destructive, however. You simply and quite easily see right through flawed systems, and then proceed to shine the light of insight upon them… thereby facilitating their timely self-destruction. You have an eye for sustainability versus unsustainability. You are able to view a system, even in its infancy, and correctly see it at its logical extremes.

“That which is unsustainable must end. To perpetuate flawed systems is destructive and wasteful. As millions of System-Busters point to the various institutions of modern culture, they seem to crumble to dust under scrutiny. The world appears to be falling apart!

“As the dust settles though, the backdrop of The Real embraces a new clarity of vision. Natural pristine wilderness is undeniably a sustainable system… for it has created abundance, diversity and balance. Think what humankind could accomplish by reintegrating itself with the natural systems! Hand-in-hand with Nature… what ingenuity might be wrought!

“You are supported by powerful systems. Remember this as the weakest continue to fall. It is NOT the end of the world. Hardly. It is rather the beginning.”
