The Free Radical

There are a few individual trees whom I like to visit on a regular basis. I have always admired this tree who chose to grow straight out from a rock outcropping.

A tree’s perspective digests time differently than we do. From their lofty contemplative lives they often see obvious things to which we remain typically oblivious.

“There are two future events I wish to discuss. The future is not nearly as mysterious as humans imagine it to be… and sometimes it is helpful to view the Now moment in ‘hindsight’ from a potential projection.

“Prognostication One: And the Spirit shall stand naked before all. There is an exceedingly high probability that this shall come to pass very soon. The underlying spiritual component of reality– what we call the Shining World– will soon be plainly undeniable to all Earth humans. Spirit will be announcing itself in countless ways in the everyday affairs of all. The lifting of this particular veil will be relentless until everyone on Earth has the personal experience of knowing that the Universe is a living, intelligent and responsive organism.

“Make no mistake. There will be no authentic mass demonstration of this. It will not be a public event. Rather, it will be billions of tiny disclosures, intimate and personal… and so, utterly undeniable. Events at the grassroots level are not easily manipulated.

“Currently you yearn for a galvanizing event– something to mark the turning of the page. Perhaps there will be such an event; perhaps not… But this brings us to Prognostication Two: You will look back in amazement. In thirty years or so, you will reflect back upon this Now moment and you will be overcome with wonder. As you are in it, it is very difficult to discern what is actually occurring. In hindsight you will see this time for what it has been.

“It is a time of momentous transition. Such a wholesale change has never before been wrought in such a short time. Once you’re through it and have found some breathing space, you will marvel in retrospect at the sheer swiftness of this incredible transformation. Right now it seems interminably slow… but only because so much still remains hidden from the habits of perception you still maintain. Once you are settled in to the new modes of perception now coming online, you will see unequivocally that nothing less than a total reordering of the entire universe has taken place. And immediately you will be struck by awe that it was accomplished so peaceably.

“Do not fret at the pace of events today. The undercurrent is much swifter than you can imagine. Patience and trust… step by step… patience and trust.”
