Moon Iridescence

Moon Iridescence

It was a magic moon last night! The camera has difficulty depicting the full spectrum of colour rippling through the clouds in such low light… but you get the idea.

Taking A Peak

Taking A Peak

The long, invisible fingers of mountains tug at my overactive imagination, reminding me of childhood, when I had the uncanny knack for making a game out of anything. Would you believe that I’ve never been bored in my life? I understand the word ‘boredom’ intellectually, but I have no direct experience of it.

When I took this picture a few days ago, I thought to myself “The only thing missing is the stranded polar bear.”

And then I spotted him!

Water’s Edge

I can honestly tell you that we don’t see too many polar bears in these parts!

On the Way Home

On the Way Home

Perhaps he lives in that ice cave…?

Ice Den

Ice Den

Yup. I would say.

Okay, it might be a bit staged. But c’mon! There’s something endearing about a guy who’s pushing fifty and is willing to carry around a ceramic polar bear in his backpack… isn’t there? (Damn! I crack me up!) And the dogs, I can assure you, are rather pleased with my special brand of insanity… as am I with theirs.

The squirrel is real; I swear!

Whassat?

Whassat?

What is it that’s just off camera? Well, a dragon of course! What? Don’t believe me? Guess you’ll just have to come along on one of these walks yourself… and bring the kids! (I’m not dangerous… despite what the neighbours might say.)

Gee, I sure wish I still had all my Lego and matchbook cars… but then again, I might never get out of the house!
