The Daily Forest Report August 2, 2014 “Shake Your Head As the World Just Nods Away”
by nielskunze on August 2, 2014
(All Ways The Same/As The World by Echolyn from their 1995 album As the World– the only album they recorded with a major label: Sony. All of their other superfantastic albums were recorded at home.)
Summer burns around us… through us. The sun sent a flare to cut through the smoke. Our touristy neighbours have been evacuated in the south… as the world turns its other cheek.
Has anything changed?
Do butterflies like thistles? Apparently!
We’re vibrating at a different level now… the first indication that maybe– finally– things don’t have to get worse before they get better.
War, mayhem, and hatred touch us differently now. We shake our heads “Enough is enough!” while only the densest factions continue to nod their heads in syncopation to the old rhythms of propaganda.
I’ve taken to dunking my head in the river. Stale ideologies are carried away in ancient emerald waters. “The past is old… but the future is ancient.” I get it now, Galactic Historian… circle of Life.
Mariposa lilies remind us of masks worn within the consensus. Pretty faces are real; masks are not. We thought we needed identities in order to navigate the world…
…when the world just yearned for our Presence instead.
Do you know how rare a yellow-blossomed alfalfa is around here? This is the only one I know of– a multivitamin for worldly power in the plexus of the sun… oh how I try to say it with flare!
Things do not exist; only the relationships between them do. Our eyes have been led astray… finding, counting, accumulating objects of hollow desire. I know you’re beginning to see it now… with the eyes that reach out through your feelings. Do not be offended by what you see; we can’t afford to close our feelings again!
It’s still a prickly, sticky place… but these wings beat to a rising frequency… as we carry the nectar of awareness to a new landing/understanding.
