<\/a><\/p>\nAs you may have guessed from the name I used, this is the twelfth snake of the season I’ve encountered along my path. To me, that seems like an unusually high number of snakes, especially since I have never actively gone looking for snakes. All twelve of them throughout the season presented themselves directly upon my path. I just about stepped on all of them! Fortunately, I’m not too deep in my 3D trance anymore.<\/p>\n
Twelve-Snake was waiting for me on the Mesa, right where I always stop to take off my pack and dig for wild onions. When I arrived, he slid beneath the juniper bush I usually pee on every day. Don’t worry, I didn’t pee on him! (His general size made me uncomfortable to unzip at all… haha!)<\/p>\n
Honestly, I was surprised to see him this day. It was cold out. Under the thick wool sweater my Mom knitted me I had an additional two long-sleeved shirts. The sun poked through only very sporadically– but that is<\/em> what he was after.<\/p>\n “I dream closely with the Earth Mother. But it is Father Sun who provides my motive spark. For half the year I sleep; for half the year I sew (sow?) creative spirit into the waking dreams of all the other Earth creatures.” (I did not know that.)<\/p>\n “There is, in truth, a great deal that is ‘new’ under the Sun… but it has not yet been made visible to those still rubbing the sleep from their eyes. You have felt the pause of the preceding weeks… prelude to the unveiling to come. It is as though the Sun needed to take a nap, something He does periodically in an eleven-year cycle. He has been zeroing out his magnetic charge, allowing all within His light to release unwanted and cumbersome burdens from their emotional selves.<\/p>\n “I am here on this blustery day hoping to catch a taste of the New Sun. Now is the time when He reverses His magnetic field by flipping polarities.” (Something the sun does every eleven years or so– apparently.) “Soon I will sleep through the cold, dreaming with the Earth Mother. When I awaken in the spring, it will be under a brand New Sun… We will All have new eyes.<\/p>\n “In the meantime… pleasant dreams.”<\/p>\n Thanks Twelve-Snake!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" “Nothing New Under The Sun”…?
