Most collaboration requires\u00a0<a title=\"Leadership\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leadership\">leadership<\/a>, although the form of leadership can be social within a\u00a0<a title=\"Decentralized\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Decentralized\">decentralized<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"Egalitarian\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Egalitarian\">egalitarian<\/a>\u00a0group.\u00a0In particular, teams that work collaboratively can obtain greater resources, recognition and reward when facing competition for finite resources.<\/p>\n<p>Structured methods of collaboration encourage\u00a0<a title=\"Introspection\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Introspection\">introspection<\/a>\u00a0of behavior and communication.\u00a0These methods\u00a0<em>specifically<\/em>\u00a0aim to increase the success of teams as they engage in collaborative\u00a0<a title=\"Problem solving\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Problem_solving\">problem solving<\/a>.
